Kannadasan was a Tamil poet and lyricist, heralded as one of the greatest and most important writers in the Tamil language.
Even before the release of his long pending debut flick, Ponmaalai Pozhudhu, Aadhav Kannadasan, the grandson of late legendary lyricist Kannadasan has been offered a new film by producer Dr Ramadoss, which he announced at the films recent press meet.
PMP, produced by Aadhavs mother Amritha Gowri and sister Sathyalakshmi, was in the making for a long time, due to some financial crisis.
Now, Dr Ramadoss has come forward to lend a helping hand and is releasing it through his banner in July. In fact Aadhav wanted to be behind the camera and direct movies and had also assisted GNR Kumaravelan. But fate had other plans, landing him the lead role in PMP.
Gayathri of Naduvula Konjam Pakkatthai Kaanom stars opposite Aadhav. Directed by AC Durai, the film is inspired by real life incidents. Anupama Kumar essays the vital role of Aadhavs mother which has a major bearing on the story.
It looks like Gayathri has not come out of her intense character in PMP even now, as she went speechless and literally wept at the event. Sathya composes the tracks.
